Welcome To Motorhome Stopover
  About Us

First of all let me explain what you are getting for your money (£30.00), at the moment there are over 184 public houses up and down the country where you will be allowed to stay overnight for free for the first night, we are also in the process of adding more sites as and when we can, some of these sites have all the facilities of a campsite and will allow you to stay for EXTRA nights for a donation (approximately £5). However, if you wine and dine at these places the chances are that they won’t charge at all. Don’t forget that you are saving £15 to £30 a night camping fees. One night’s stay could pay for your annual subscription. Where electric is available a donation, £2.50 per night would help. The primary thing to remember is that these stopovers are NOT CAMPSITES they are rest sites. Most of these sites are located in the tourist areas and countryside, we have not used the local drinking hole pubs. These places have been carefully selected.

You could travel around Lincoln for a week and not pay a penny. If you are a full timer, you can travel up and down the country and all it will cost is your fuel! On these sites you will be expected to use your common sense, you will not be allowed to put up your awning or have a BBQ on the car park! But you will be stopping in safe surroundings and these sites are open all year round.

The web site has a members forum so that members can ask each other about different sites and report on different sites that they have visited or just chat on the open forum

We are hoping that some members will help in getting things going, as we need to have help pages, downloads and as much information for motorhome owners as possible. These senior members will be the backbone of the site.

This is the important part, I don’t think that you will find any other site that has a phone number for you to contact them or an address where you can visit them and talk face to face. This site has!

Final warning:- These sites are not camp sites they are stopovers, the same as Sainsbury’s car park or a service area on the motorway, the only difference is you do not have to pay an overnight fee.

I hope that the above information will clear any doubt about the site and I truly look forward to talking to you on the members forum, on the phone or face-to-face.
